Homestead Continues to Grow
I originally wrote about Homestead's growth in 2014. More than a decade later, the larger point still holds: Homestead continues to be an important residential market in South Miami Dade.
The area offers a mix of established neighborhoods, newer single family communities, townhomes, condos and rental properties. It also remains an important connection point between Miami Dade and the Florida Keys.
Growth changes the rental market
As more housing is built and neighborhoods mature, rental owners have to pay attention to new competition. A property that rented easily several years ago may now be competing against newer homes with different amenities.
Local knowledge helps
Homestead is not one uniform market. Pricing and tenant demand can change by neighborhood, community, property type and condition. That is why we prefer to look at the individual rental rather than rely only on a citywide average.
